Lakehead plan

THUNDER BAY, Ont.

The old stomping gr- ounds of Canada’s most famous humourist may figure in Lakehead University’s first attempt to establish a satellite campus.

If a proposal announced Tuesday goes ahead, students enrolled at Lakehead may one day take courses on a picturesque waterfront campus in Orillia — the city portrayed in Stephen Leacock’s fiction.

The proposed site is a soon-to-be-closed psychiatric centre owned by the province.
