Construction is moving upwards for the Citygate condominiums phase II at Burnhamthorpe Road West and Duke of York Boulevard in Mississauga, Ont. Owner/developer Davies Smith Developments Inc. began the 35-storey, 345-unit project last March and occupancy is scheduled for this October. There will be guest suites, a recreation room, pool and an exercise room. It will also have above ground and underground parking. The project was designed by Quadrangle Architects. Consultants are: Sigmund Soudack & Associates (structural); Able Engineering Inc. (mechanical/electrical); and Alexander Budrevics & Associates Inc. (landscape). Subtrades include: Anpro Excavating & Grading (excavation); Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. (shoring/caissons); Verdi Group (formwork); Global Precast (precast); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Dufferin Concrete (concrete supply); Medi-Group Masonry Ltd.; Lido Construction Co. (carpentry); Com-Kote (painting); D. Zentil Mechanical Ltd.; Speedy Electric Contractor Ltd.; Primeline Windows Inc. (windows); Tedesco Waterproofing Ltd. (roofing); ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.; and Aldershot Landscape Contractors Ltd.
