Flooring company posts lower profit

DELSON, Que.

Goodfellow Inc., the country’s largest distributor of hardwood flooring, saw its net profits fall in the fiscal second quarter on lower sales.

The Quebec-based company reported last week that it earned $573,000, or 14 cents a share, in the three months ended Feb. 28. Goodfellow earned $1.1 million, or 27 cents a share, in the same year-earlier quarter.
