Construction has reached the rooftop of the Brampton Centre For The Performing Arts auditorium in Brampton, Ont. General contractor Aecon Buildings began the 850-seat, two-storey facility with three levels of underground parking in April 2004 and completion is scheduled for next February.
The project was designed by Page + Steele Inc. Consultants are Stephenson Engineering Ltd. (structural); and Leipciger Kaminker Mitelman & Partners (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Graff Concrete Cutting (demolition); Res Group (formwork); Harris Rebar (rebar supply); Architectural Precast Systems (precast); Azimuth Three Enterprises Inc. (structural steel); Lafarge (concrete supply); Limen Masonry Ltd.; Adelt Mechanical Works Ltd.; R.E. Wilson Electrical Contractors (2000) Inc.; Ferguson-Neudorf Glass Inc. (windows); Semple-Gooder Roofing Ltd./Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing); and Otis Canada Inc. (elevators).
