Truck drivers strike

VANCOUVER

Container truck drivers at Vancouver’s Port Authority are on strike over what they feel are high gas costs and low wages.

The decision to strike came after the Vancouver Container Truck Association was unable to reach an agreement with the authority.

Spokesman Paul Uppal said high gas costs and low wages are keeping the truckers from making a profit and that drivers want a pay increase.
