Marshall Macklin Monaghan capitalizes on growth
Toronto
With an eye on opportunities in western Canada, Marshall Macklin Monaghan has acquired the 125-person firm of ND LEA, an employee-owned engineering, planning and project management firm.
Established in 1962, ND LEA provides services through three operating companies: ND LEA Consultants Ltd. in Vancouver, Kamloops and Williams Lake, B.C.; ND LEA Engineers & Planners Inc. in Winnipeg; and Clifton ND LEA Consulting Inc. in Calgary.
Its fields of specialization are in management, planning and design of transportation infrastructure, urban development and environmental assessment.
“MMM and ND LEA have worked together in the past and have complementary corporate cultures for the areas in which we can most effectively blend our talents,” said Bruce Bodden, MMM president and chief executive officer.
“With a booming western economy and government commitments for major transportation projects in Alberta and British Columbia, we are strongly positioned for opportunities in the western market.”
Privately owned MMM provides project management, consulting engineering, planning and geomatics services to public and private sector clients across Canada. The MMM group of companies has some 900 employees.
