Watt to design Chilean retail space

TORONTO

Toronto-based Watt International, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Envoy Communications Group, has been selected by South America’s leading multi-format retailer, Cencosud S.A., for the retail design development of the Costanera Shopping Center in Santiago, Chile.

Scheduled for completion in 2008, the centre will be one of the largest mixed-use projects in South America with 250 retail stores spread across 1.2 million square feet and five levels. The development will include four department stores, a hypermarket, a home centre, four office towers, a hotel, entertainment facilities and a food court.

Watt International will prepare a design strategy for the cente\re’s retail spaces and food court, and also develop proprietary branding for the centre. The company has offices in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe.
