Marine terminal, pipeline for B.C.

CALGARY

An agreement has been reached between Pembina Pipeline Corp. and a group of shippers who will use Pembina’s pipeline.

Shippers will now progress through the next phase of development, which involves construction of a marine terminal in Kitimat and a pipeline capable of carrying 100,000 barrels of imported condensate per day to Summit Lake.

Preliminary design and engineering for the project is complete, indicating a total required capital investment by Pembina of $1 billion.

Shippers will finance the costs required to advance detailed engineering, preliminary environmental assessment, stakeholder consultation and regulatory activities, Pembina said.
