TO’s best, worst to receive Pugly Award

TORONTO

As Toronto’s love affair with construction continues, so too do The Pugly Awards. The second annual competition to recognize Toronto’s best known, most loved and least liked new developments is to be launched May 1.

Sponsored by Tricon Capital Group Inc. and Cecconi Simone Inc., The Pugly Awards are an online competition created to recognize the best and worst residential and commercial developments of 2005.

According to organizers, the awards last year received approximately 10,000 votes and this year’s competition will once again give the people of Toronto an opportunity to be heard; to shun the mediocre and celebrate the truly great.

A total of 15 buildings will be voted on by the public during the month-long program.

Voting may be done online at www.puglytoronto.com from May 1 to May 31. The winners and losers will be announced June 6.
