N.S. town seeks funds for rec centre

BERWICK, N.S.

The town of Berwick, N.S., is getting $2 million from the province to help build a new recreation centre.

The $9-million centre will accommodate an ice surface, curling rink, indoor walking track, fitness centre, library, banquet room and outdoor swimming pool.

Construction is dependent on further funding and is tentatively scheduled to be completed by 2008.
