Cool’ energy system for TO’s Trump Hotel

TORONTO

Enwave Energy Corporation will be keeping the guests cool at the highly anticipated Trump International Hotel & Tower in Toronto.

The company, one of the largest providers of district energy in North America, announced it will outfit the development with its sustainable, low cost air conditioning system.

Enwave’s Deep Lake Water Cooling system sources power from the cold water in Lake Ontario. The lake water runs through the city’s filtration system to Enwave’s facilities where the energy is extracted from the cold water and used to cool the buildings.

The 750,000 square foot, 70 floor tower will help reduce harmful emissions by 3,224 tons, the equivalent to taking over 645 cars off the road, and will help decrease electricity usage by 2,931,000 kilowatts, comparable to electricity used by over 290 homes.
