Build wind turbines
MONTREAL
Quebec-based companies such as Bombardier should start producing wind turbines for local and international markets, the president of power producer Boralex Inc. said.
Bernard Lemaire said his company recently had to delay the launch of a wind generation farm in Europe because turbine producers could not meet the demand. He said he has recently approached other companies to suggest they consider the sector that is dominated by a few big players, including Bombardier.
The Societe general de financement, Quebec’s investment agency is interested in investing in wind turbine manufacturing.
