Work continues on the additions and alterations to the Markham Village Library in Markham, Ont. General contractor Torcom Construction Inc. began the two storey project in January and completion has been scheduled for next February. The project was designed by Shoalts & Zaback Architects Inc. Consultants are: Blackwell Bowick Partnership (structural); and Stantec Consulting Ltd. (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Yukon Construction Inc. (formwork); Harris Rebar; Paradise Steel Fabricators Ltd. (structural steel); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); Squire Masonry; Nelmar Drywall Co. Ltd.; Van Mechanical Contractors Inc.; PHE Contractor Sales (electrical); Amalgamated Glass & Aluminum (windows); and Schindler Elevator Corp.
