Doyle to oversee Olympic building

VANCOUVER

The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) announced internal structural changes that will add significant venue construction and project management expertise.

Dan Doyle has been appointed Executive Vice President of Construction with full responsibility for venue construction. Doyle most recently served as BC’s Deputy Minister of Transportation and brings to VANOC more than 30 years of engineering experience with the B.C. government.

He oversaw implementation of the multi-billion dollar privatization of road and bridge maintenance in BC, and led the development of the Sea-to-Sky Highway project. After almost two years with VANOC as Senior Vice President of Venue Construction, Steve Matheson is leaving to pursue other interests.
