Another Brick in the Wall

Masonry work continues for the new Central Public School in Cornwall, Ont. General contractor Robert J. Bourgon & Associates Ltd. began the 2-storey project last November and it is scheduled for completion by September. The work also included demolition of the existing school. The project was designed by Colbourne & Kembel Architects Inc. Consultants are Roney Engineering Ltd. (structural) and Atira Engineering (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Aim Demolition (existing school); Malyon Excavation (excavation/paving); Clermont Rosa Concrete Foundations Ltd. (formwork/rebar supply); Grant Ready Mix Ltd.; G & G Masonry; Marleau Mechanical; Latreille Electric; Escape Fire Protection Ltd.; Dwyer Glass; Simluc Contractors Ltd. (roofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
