Road improvements for eastern Ontario

BARRY’S BAY

Up to $26 million will be invested in road construction improvements in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

Highway 60 will be repaved from 7.1 kilometres east of the Renfrew County/District of Nipissing Boundary, easterly to the west limit of Barry’s Bay.

In addition, construction will also begin on intersection improvements, a new westbound truck climbing lane, repaving of the Wilno/Shrine Hill Lookout Road, and repairs and repaving to Barry’s Bay Patrol Yard and Access Road.

Cruickshank Construction of Morrisburg was awarded the $7.7 million improvement project, which should be completed by October 2007.
