Meridian Condos

A worker gives the signal at The Meridian Residences condominiums at Yonge Street and Finch Avenue in North York, Ont. Tridel Corp. along with Hullmark Developments, began the 31-storey, 406-unit building with a three-level podium and ten townhomes in April 2005 and completion has been scheduled for Spring 2007. The work includes indoor/outdoor water features, a pool/whirlpool/sauna, fitness centre, billiards/card room, a party room, a golf simulator and more. There will also be two-levels of underground parking, two-levels above ground, second floor office space and ground floor retail. The project was designed by Rafael + Bigauskas Architect Inc. Consultants are: Sigmund Soudack & Associates (structural); A + G Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and MBTW Group (landscape). Subtrades include: Magine General Contractors Inc. (excavation); Rumble Foundations (Ontario) Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Consolidated 2000 Inc. (formwork); Global Precast; Teskey Concrete; Venice Masonry; Primo Mechanical Inc. (mechanical/fire protection); Belmar Ventilation Systems Inc.; Speedy Electric Contractor Inc.; Toro Aluminum Ltd. (windows); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
