A 13,000 lb. MRI unit was lifted up to the third floor of the ‘M’ wing recently as part of the ongoing renovations at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Vanbots Construction Corp. is construction manager and the architect is G & G Partnership Architects. H.H. Angus & Associates Ltd. is mechanical/electrical consultant. Subtrades include: Duron Ontario Ltd. (concrete floor/terrazzo); Kent-Leckie Flooring (vinyl/carpet flooring); Oakdale Drywall; Murmil (millwork); Geo. A. Kelson Mechanical; Guild Electric; Ontario Electric (fire alarm); Albion Glass (curtain wall/exterior glazing); ETS Lindgren (RF Shielding-specialty); Industrial Machinery Movers; and GE Healthcare Technologies (MRI equipment supply/install).
