Condominium Construction

Construction moves along at The Vineyards condominium project Phase I and II in Richmond Hill, Ont. Owner/general contractor Empire Communities started the two, 14-storey towers with 408 units in May 2005 and it will include two levels of underground parking and a fitness facility. The project was designed by E.I. Richmond Architects Ltd. Consultants are Kazmar Associates (structural) and A & G Engineering (mechanical/electrical). Subtrades include: York Excavating & Grading Co. Ltd.; Pro Caissons (shoring/caissons); Italform Ltd. (formwork); Canada-Wide Reinforcing Steel Co. Ltd. (rebar supply); Architectural Precast Systems Inc.; Dufferin Concrete; DiRocco Masonry Group Ltd.; Network Mechanical Inc.; West-Mount Electric Inc.; and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
