Research and Genetics Facility

Construction moves along on the Lebovic Research Centre, Home of the Toronto Centre for Phenogenomics at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Construction manager EllisDon Corp. started the seven-storey health research and genetics facility in May 2004 and completion has been scheduled for April.
The Project Team
The Lebovic Research Centre, Home of the Toronto Centre For Phenogenomics was designed by G & G Partnership Architects. The owners are Mount Sinai Hospital with TCP partners Hospital for Sick Children, University Health Network and St. Michael's Hospital. Consultants are: Halsall Associates Ltd. (structural); Leipciger, Kaminker, Mitelman & Partners Inc. (mechanical/electrical); and Ferris & Associates (landscape). Subtrades include: Anpro Excavating & Grading; Crown Drainage (foundation drainage); Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd.; Res 2000 Structures Inc. (formwork); Harris Rebar; Lorvin Steel Ltd. (structural steel); Ontario Redimix; Limen Masonry Ltd. (interior masonry); Downsview Drywall; H Griffiths Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Ampere Ltd. (electrical); Vipond Inc. (fire protection); Windsor Glass (CGI); Lindgren (MRI Shielding); Otis Canada Inc. (elevators); TM & T (cladding); and Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing).
