Getting better in Newmarket

Construction has reached the rooftop for the Newmarket Medical Arts Building/Office on Davis Dr. in Newmarket, Ont. General contractor Percon Construction Inc. began the six storey building with one level of underground parking and ground floor retail in September 2005 and completion is scheduled for next May. The project was designed by Grey-Noble & Grey-Noble Architects. Consultants are: Stephenson Engineering (structural); Ellard-Willson Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and Graham Hess and Associates (landscape). Subcontractors include: Blu-Mar Excavating; Jessco Structural (formwork); Salit Steel (rebar supply); Advance Precast; DRS Structural (structural steel); St. Marys CBM (concrete supply); Blockwall Masonry; CEC Mechanical; CEC Electrical; General Sprinklers; Jordan Architectural (windows); Stanley Park Roofing; Gage Metal (aluminum panels/siding); Second Generation (millwork); Petko Drywall; and Kone Inc. (elevators).
