AECL employees ratify new agreement

CHALK RIVER

Employees at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) voted in favour of a new five-year collective agreement. Details of the new agreement were not disclosed.

“We are very pleased with the outcome of these negotiations as it not only sets the stage for a successful future but it also lays a solid foundation toward a stronger partnership with our employees,” stated Brian McGee, vice president, Nuclear Laboratories for AECL.

The employees provide research and development support, design and engineering, construction management, specialized technology, refurbishment, waste management and decommissioning in support of CANDU reactor products.
