Bay Street smash

BRIAN BAKER

Three Murray Demolition excavators help to bring down the exterior walls on two 12-storey buildings at 335 and 347 Bay Street in downtown Toronto. The ‘green’ project cleaned up PCBs and asbestos in the buildings and expects the project to be completed by January 2007. In order to use the high-reach equipment, the buildings are currently in the process of being lowered. In addition to the demolition, crews are salvaging the facade of a historical building at 347 Bay that is being renovated by both EllisDon and Clifford Masonry.
