New Office Building

Structural steel work progresses on the new office building for AMGEN at 6775 Financial Dr. in Mississauga, Ont. Design-build contractor EllisDon Corp. began the 5-storey office last August and the occupancy will be for September. It will also have outdoor parking for 515 vehicles. The AMGEN office was designed by Adamson Associates Architects. Consultants are: Stephenson Engineering Ltd. (structural); Sprint Insight Inc. (D/B mechanical); Bernie Electric (D/B electrical). Subtrades include: Ragno Excavating; Pro Caissons; XDG Ltd. (formwork); Harris Omer (rebar supply); Tresman Steel Industries Ltd. (structural steel); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); LG Masonry; C & H Fire Suppression Systems Inc. (fire protection); Westmount Storefront systems Ltd. (windows); Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing); Kone Inc. (elevators); and Lafarge (asphalt/paving).
