Where are the ladies, reader asks
Dear Editor,
I have a rather odd question with reference to the picture published on the front page of the April edition of the Toronto Construction News. The 2007 Toronto Construction Association Board of Directors is a very nice group of gentlemen, but where are the ladies?
I know construction is generally male-dominated, however there are many ladies out there who are leaders in the industry. Elem Rinomato-Pavan, president of Torino Drywall, can certainly be classified as one of them.
Perhaps the Toronto Construction Association could take a look at its board member recruitment process and take a lead from other industries throughout the city.
