Scarborough Hospital receives its exterior insulating finish system

Workers install the exterior insulating finish system to the wall of The Scarborough Hospital-General Division Emergency Critical Care Unit at 3050 Lawrence Ave. E. in Scarborough, Ontario. General contractor EllisDon Corp. began the four-storey project in July 2006 and completion is expected for January 2009. The project was designed by Bregman + Hamann Architects. Consultants are Carruthers & Wallace Ltd. (structural) and Rybka Smith and Ginsler Ltd. (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: H.C. Matcon Inc. (excavation/shoring/caissons); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Alliance Forming Ltd. (formwork); C.J. Pink Ltd. (precast); Darlington Steel Ltd. (structural steel); James Dick Construction Ltd. (concrete supply); Limen Group Ltd. (masonry); Marin (2000) Inc. (gypsum board & acoustics); Geo. A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Black & McDonald Ltd. (electrical); Basic Structures (windows); Dean-Chandler Roofing Ltd.; and Otis Canada Inc. (elevators).
