Reed Construction Data Canada and the Ontario General Contractors Association Announce Alliance Partnership
Toronto, ON (May 4, 2007) — Reed Construction Data (RCD) and the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) have announced the signing of a strategic alliance agreement that will result in the two organizations combining resources in support of Ontario's General Contractors. The agreement includes a number of provisions designed to foster growth and development of OGCA members, and to further strengthen RCD's position as Canada's leading provider of construction information and opportunity.
OGCA members will receive substantial benefits from the agreement, including significant discounts on RCD's published products. In addition to trial subscriptions to Daily Commercial News for new members, OGCA members will enjoy reduced subscription rates on Building Reports and RS Means, and reduced admission to the annual CanaData Conference. OGCA members will automatically receive RCD's weekly CanaData electronic newsletter at no charge, to be launched in Spring 2007. Discounts will be available to OGCA members for subscriptions to RCD's Interior Design, Building Design and Construction, Customer Builder, Professional Builder, and Professional Remodeler magazines. OGCA members will benefit from reduced advertising rates in RCD publications, permitting cost-effective promotion opportunities for OGCA members to a highly focused and targeted audience.
The agreement calls for RCD and the OGCA to share in efforts to promote the General Contracting profession in Ontario.
“The partnership between RCD and OGCA is a natural fit,” states Mark Casaletto, RCD Canada's Managing Director. “We have been working with General Contractors in Ontario since we first published Daily Commercial News in November 1927. Our editors rely on General Contractors as an important source, their voice has been heard by the entire industry through our articles. They have been an ongoing advertiser with us and most importantly one of our largest and most active readers for 80 years. We are excited to align ourselves with the OGCA and look forward to making our products and services more readily available to their members to help them succeed in today's marketplace. RCD looks forward to working side by side with the OGCA as a partner in our mutual success and growth for many years to come.”
“RCD products have been a trusted source of both information and opportunity for Ontario's General Contractors for many years,” adds Clive Thurston, President of the OGCA. “Our membership has traditionally looked to Daily Commercial News for business leads and insight into best practices and methods. We're delighted to be associated with an organization known for accuracy and integrity, and excited about the additional prospects our members will enjoy through increased access to RCD's products and services.”
