Safety Awards

Routly Safety awards were presented at the recent ORBA conference. From left are Denis Bigioni, President of Dagmar, accepting his company’s award; the Hon. Steve Mahoney, chair of the WSIB, and Roy O’Rourke, executive vice-president and general manager of the CSAO. This Category II Routly Safety Award was given for a company that averages more than 100,000 annual manhours. Dagmar Construction achieved 804,708 consecutive manhours without a lost-time injury to December 31, 2006. Other safety award winners included MSO Construction, for a company that averages less than 100,000 annual manhours. MSO Construction Ltd. achieved 220,165 consecutive manhours without a lost-time injury to December 31, 2006. Milestone Awards, given for reaching 500,000 consecutive manhours without a lost-time injury, to December 31, 2006, were given to Miller Paving Limited, Capital Paving Inc. and Pioneer Construction Inc.
