Bondfield Construction wins contract to build, finance Credit Valley Hospital expansion

TORONTO – The Credit Valley Hospital and Infrastructure Ontario have selected Bondfield Construction Co. Ltd. to build and finance the hospital’s Phase II Expansion and Redevelopment Project.

The scope of the work includes approximately 270,000 square feet of new construction and 70,000 square feet of renovation.

The team, led by Bondfield Construction Co. Ltd., includes financing arranged by National Bank. Financial close on the project is expected shortly and construction will follow soon after. Project costs will be released at financial close.

Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care will work with The Credit Valley Hospital to redevelop and expand the hospital, which will remain publicly owned, publicly controlled and publicly accountable.

Infrastructure Ontario is a Crown corporation dedicated to managing some of the province’ss larger and more complex infrastructure renewal projects - ensuring they are built on time and on budget.

The Credit Valley Hospital project is guided by principles outlined in the province's Building a Better Tomorrow framework, which ensures public ownership of core assets such as hospitals, schools, and water and wastewater facilities.
