OGCA offers risk management course for construction managers and supervisors

The Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) will offer a new course on health and safety risk management for general contractors from May 5 to 9, 2008 at the OGCA’s offices in Mississauga.

The one-week course, designed by Norm Keith, a leading employment and labour lawyer and author of Canadian Health and Safety Law, is intended to assist managers and supervisors understand Ontario health and safety law and how to achieve due diligence.

The association said the course will give students the tools to establish and improve company health and safety programs, to monitor them and to minimize corporate costs and exposure to personal and corporate liability.
