Work continues on the Art Gallery of Ontario expansion. The site is on Dundas Street West in Toronto.
EllisDon makes waves at Art Gallery of Ontario expansion project
Project manager EllisDon Corp. began the three-storey Art Gallery of Ontario expansion in April 2005. Completion is expected in late 2008.
The project was designed by Gehry International Architects Inc.
Consultants are Halcrow Yolles (structural), HH Angus & Associates Ltd. (mechanical) and Mulvey & Banani International Inc. (electrical).
Subtrades include Geo-Foundation Contractors; Structform International (formwork); Res Precast Inc.; Benson Steel Ltd.; Clifford Masonry Restoration; Adelt Mechanical Works Ltd.; Geo A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (HVAC); and OZZ Corp. (electrical).
Also on the list of subtrades are Vipond Inc. (sprinklers/fire protection); Simplex Grinnell (fire alarm system); Cesaroni Carline (drywall); Antamex International Inc.(glass/glazing); Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing); Flynn Canada (Toronto) (siding); and Kone Inc. (elevators).
