SNC-Lavalin acquires Nova Scotia engineering firm C.J. MacLellan
MONTREAL
SNC-Lavalin has agreed to purchase all shares of C.J. MacLellan & Associates in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
C.J. MacLellan is a 35-year-old engineering and surveying firm offering a full range of multi-discipline design services.
“We are pleased to have these experienced engineers join SNC-Lavalin,” said Riadh Ben Aissa, Executive Vice-President, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. in charge of worldwide construction operations.
“C.J. MacLellan is well respected in Canada’s Atlantic region and we are delighted with this opportunity to expand our local presence in this way.”
C.J. MacLellan’s 25 engineers and other professionals will join SNC-Lavalin’s Nova Scotia General Engineering Group, which has been based in Halifax for over 45 years and now numbers over 100 employees.
“C.J. MacLellan and SNC-Lavalin have worked together on projects in the region for over 20 years,” said Brian DeCoste, Vice-President, Operations, SNC-Lavalin Nova Scotia. “This addition strengthens our position in the Atlantic region.”
