Concrete work continues at the Southlake Regional Cancer Centre in Newmarket, Ontario.

Work moves along smoothly at Vanbots’ Southlake Regional Cancer Centre project

General contractor Vanbots Construction Corp. began the $47-million, five-storey Southlake Regional Cancer Centre project in June 2007. Completion has been scheduled for fall 2009.

The project was designed by Vermeulen/Hind Architects for owner Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Consultants are Halcrow Yolles (structural); H.H. Angus & Associates Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and Janet Rosenberg & Associates (landscape).

Subcontractors include Gentile Contracting Ltd. (excavating); Structform International Ltd. (formwork); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Paramount Steel Ltd. (structural steel); and CBM (concrete supply). Also on the list of subcontractors are Limen Masonry; Geo A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Guild Electric Ltd.; Westmetro Glass Service Ltd. (windows); Nortex Roofing Ltd.; and Otis Canada Inc. (elevators).
