Workers tie rebar at 60 Richmond Street East, a residential and commercial project.

Bird Construction crews tie some Richmond Street rebar

Construction manager Bird Construction Co. has completion of the project at 60 Richmond scheduled for May 2009.

The 11-storey, 85-unit building was designed by Teeple Architects.

Consultants are CPE Structural Consultants Ltd. (structural); Jain & Associates (mechanical/electrical); Enermodal Engineering (LEED) and NAK Design Group (landscape).

Subtrades include Strong Foundation (shoring/caissons); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Forma-con Construction (formwork); C.J. Pink Ltd. (precast stairs); Dufferin Concrete; Marel Contractors (drywall); Stefcon Construction Inc. (masonry); and Nekison Mechanical.

Also on the list of subtrades are Inline Fibreglass Ltd. (fiberglass windows); Pollard Enterprises Ltd. (roofing); Zenith Aluminum Systems Ltd.; Trillium Architectural Products (hollow metal doors/frames); C & A Tedesco Waterproofing Inc.; and Schindler Elevator Corp.
