Construction worker injured in Lindsay warehouse collapse

LINDSAY, Ont.

A 24-year-old worker was in serious condition in hospital after part of a warehouse building under construction in Lindsay collapsed Monday.

Kawartha Lakes police say the collapse happened around 3 p.m, minutes after a severe rainstorm swept through the area.

Kawartha Lakes police says the severe weather may have played a part in the collapse. They said a metal beam fell on the man.

The worker was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a facility in Toronto with life-threatening injuries.
