Construction underway at Interfor’s Adams Lake sawmill

Construction is well underway at Interfor’s new Adams Lake sawmill.

The $100-million project is being built to address the devastating effects of the timber killed by the Mountain Pine Beetle in B.C.

Designed by Anthony-Seaman Ltd, the mill will incorporate new technology and is expected to improve the efficiency and cost structure of the mill. The existing mill will be phased out.

Interfor will act as their own construction manager. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2009.
