Concrete work progresses at the new Hanwha manufacturing facility in London, Ontario.

McKay-Cocker Construction makes concrete progress on Hanwha plant

McKay-Cocker Construction Ltd. began design-build work on the Hanwha building in April 2008 for owner Hanwha L & C Canada Inc. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2008.

The 210,000-square-foot, single-storey project will also have warehouse and office space.

Consultants are Santarelli Engineering Service (structural); Integrated Engineering (mechanical/electrical); and Ron Koudys Landscape Architect.

Subtrades include Aar-Con Excavating; McKay-Cocker Construction Ltd. (formwork); Harris Rebar; ACL Steel Ltd. (d-b structural steel); CBM (concrete supply); G & A Masonry; Pro Electric Inc. (d-b mechanical/electrical); Vipond Inc. (d-b sprinklers); Lor-Don (resin tanks/silos); Westmount Storefronts (windows); Flynn Canada (roofing); Commercial Sheet Metal; Kone Crane; Schindler Elevators Corp. and Del-Ko Paving.
