Work moves along at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

PCL Constructors team expands Air Canada Centre

General contractor PCL Constructors Canada Inc. began work on the Air Canada Centre west-side expansion in May 2008. Completion has been scheduled for August 2009.

The work consists of a six-storey atrium with two levels for concession and retail space. The architect for the project is Page & Steele Inc.

Consultants are Halcrow Yolles (structural); The Mitchell Partnership (mechanical); and Mulvey & Banani International Inc.

Subcontractors include Priestly Demolition Inc.; Aviance Forming Inc.; Walters Inc. (structural steel); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); Twin Masonry Ltd.; Geo. A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Plan Electric; Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing); and Tagg Industries (curtainwall).
