PTI Group lands field accommodation job for 2010 Vancouver Olympics

EDMONTON

PTI Group has been awarded a support services contract for field accommodations and catering services for the Department of National Defence (DND) during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

The contract, valued at $30.2 million, has been awarded to PTI by Defence Construction Canada (DCC).

As part of the contract, PTI will assemble what is the equivalent to modular hotels accommodating personnel deployed on Canadian Forces operations during the Vancouver Winter 2010 Games. These facilities will include dormitories, industrial-sized kitchens, cafeterias, and recreation and leisure space.

To win the contract, PTI participated in a procurement process that scored competing service providers on technical capability before a sealed overview of pricing was reviewed for consideration.
