Work begins on McMaster's Ron Joyce Centre for Advanced Management Studies

Worker performs preliminary site work at the Centre for Advanced Management at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON.

COOPER CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Preliminary earthwork continues on the new Ron Joyce Centre for Advanced Management Studies at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business on South Service Rd. in Burlington, Ont. Design/build contractor Cooper Construction Ltd. has occupancy of the educational facility designed for LEED silver status scheduled for September 2010.

The project was designed by Young & Wright/IBI Group Architects. Consultants are: Dorlan Engineering Consultants Inc. (structural); Crossey Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical) Trafalgar Engineering (site services); and Strybos Barron King (landscape). Subtrades include; Oak Site Preparation (excavation); Pro Caisson; Spencer Steel Ltd. (structural steel); Lafarge (concrete); Superior Sprinkler and Kone Inc. (elevators).
