Grief over stadium roof contract unfounded
Re: Ironworkers outraged after Quebec company wins B.C. Place Stadium roof contract (DCN Nov. 6, 2009)
Have we all lost our minds? When did Canadians become so selfish? I can’t believe that there is such animosity across Canada – Canadians against Canadians for God’s sake – how ridiculous!
Canadians are known for being caring and generous internationally – why can’t we do this across our own country? Shouldn’t we be ecstatic that the BC Place roof is being constructed in Canada and installed by Canadians?
At a time when Canadian manufacturing has been hard hit by global greed, isn’t it great to know that jobs are being created across our country to benefit all Canadians?
I wonder how many people living in BC came from Quebec (or from other parts of Canada)? Certainly the ironworkers, and their families, in Quebec must be very thankful for the work. God bless all Canadians (and not just a few)!
