Aecon awarded $125 million in contracts to modify Regina refinery

Aecon Group Inc. has been awarded two contracts totaling $125 million by Consumers' Co-operative Refineries Ltd. to carry out modifications at Consumers’ Regina refinery.

The project includes mechanical work, fabrication, and installation of pipe and other refinery equipment. W..dork is scheduled to begin in late 2009 and is scheduled for completion in summer 2011.

"This project award is strategically very important to us, as it represents a breakthrough into the Saskatchewan industrial market," said Aecon Industrial Group executive vice-president Paul Koenderman.

Aecon Group Inc. is Canada's largest, publicly traded construction and infrastructure development company.
