Finning International sells Canadian fleet of Caterpillar mining trucks

VANCOUVER

Finning International Inc. says its Canadian division is selling seven Caterpillar mining trucks and nine tractors to Shell Canada Energy. Financial terms of the sale were not immediately available.

The Caterpillar 797 trucks and D11 track-type tractors will be delivered later this year to Shell’s Albian operations at the Muskeg River Mine in Alberta’s oil sands.

The Muskeg River Mine is part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project, a joint venture between Shell Canada, Chevron Canada Ltd. and Marathon Oil Sands.
