Peterborough Utilities unveils plan for 10-megawatt wind farm

PETERBOROUGH, Ont.

Plans for another solar power project in Ontario have been unveiled by Peterborough Utilities Inc. The company has acquired the rights and property to construct a 10-megawatt solar farm just northwest of the city.

The plan calls for solar panels on about 140 acres of land to produce enough energy to power about 1,500 homes.

A Kelowna, B.C. firm, EPOD Solar Inc., will begin construction in the next few weeks.
