Project progress

Work continues on Market Wharf condo in Toronto

Construction continues on the Market Wharf condominium/retail project in Toronto. Bluescape Construction Management Inc. began the 35-storey project, which includes an eight-storey podium, in late 2009. Completion is scheduled for early 2011.

The project includes a party room, theatre, fitness centre, steam rooms, a boardroom and the podium will house retail/wholesale services.

The project was designed by architectsAlliance and the owner is Context Development Inc.

Consultants are: Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural); M.V. Shore Associates (1993) Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and Scott Torrance Landscape Architects.

Subtrades include: Coreydale Contracting Co. (excavation); Rumble Contracting Ltd. (foundation) and Paramount Structures Ltd. (formwork).
