Ontario economic growth expected to beat national average

TORONTO

Ontario’s economy is expected to outpace the national average with 3.3 per cent growth this year and 4.1 per cent growth in 2011. RBC Economics says increased housing activity and greater vehicle production spurred a return to positive growth in late 2009.

The bank forecast says Ontario’s construction sector should see a rise in activity in 2010, fuelled by higher capital spending.
