New Brunswick plans to install wildlife fencing for highway construction season

SAINT JOHN, N.B.

Wildlife fencing, and plenty of it, will be going up along New Brunswick highways during this year’s construction season. Plans call for over 70 kilometres between Campbellton and Oromocto and another 100 kilometres between St. Stephen and Saint John.

Transportation Minister Denis Landry says they hope to have it in place by fall.

The barrier is intended to prevent fatal collisions involving moose and deer.
