Bird Construction preferred proponent for Alberta school-building blitz

Bird Construction says a consortium it is part of has been named as the preferred proponent in a project to design, build, finance and maintain 10 new schools in Alberta.

Bird’s role relates to the design and construction of the schools in joint venture with Graham Construction.

The consortium is finalizing its preparations for entering into a project agreement later this spring.

“There can be no assurances that Bird will receive a contract award from the consortium related to this project,” the company said in a news release.
