Aecon to expand Highway 11 near North Bay, Ontario

Construction company Aecon Group Inc. says its infrastructure division has been awarded a $32.9-million contract from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to expand Highway 11, near North Bay, Ont.

Under the contract, Aecon will complete a four-lane, 24.2-kilometre expansion of Highway 11 from Sundridge to South River.

Work on the project includes grading, drainage, illumination and paving.

Construction has already begun and is expected to be complete by September 2011.
