RONA unveils plans for two new depots in Quebec

RONA Inc. has announced plans for two new 100,000-square-foot Reno-Depot stores in Quebec, at a total cost of approximately $50 million.

The new stores will be built in Vaudreuil and Sainte-Foy.

Together the stores will create some 200 new jobs in Quebec, RONA said in a news release.

Construction work has already begun on the Vaudreuil store, which will open in spring 2011.

Construction on the Sainte-Foy store will begin shortly, and the location is expected to open in summer 2011.

Both buildings are being built to achieve LEED certification.

RONA is the largest Canadian distributor and retailer of hardware.
